Muon(μ)analysis chamber
We created a chamber for analyzing the samples bring back by the asteroid explorer Hayabusa2 from Ryugu.
Carbon and nitrogen concentrations will be measured by performing negative muon non-destructive elemental analysis on Ryugu samples at J-PARC.
The muon beam irradiation part is made of pure copper, and the atmosphere inside the glove box can be controlled with helium gas in order to suppress deterioration of the Ryugu sample.
